All About Agus Day Care Center (Agus Proper, Atabay and Ibabao) at Agus, Lapu-lapu City

Under school year 2011-2012, the Agus Day Care Center is composed of three Day Care Centers namely the Agus Proper Day Care Center, Atabay Day Care Center, and Ibabao Day Care Center. These Day Care Centers are under the management of DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development) and Agus Barangay Council. The DSWD worker of Agus Proper Day Care Center is Lolita O. Sabandal. For the Atabay Day Care Center, the DSWD worker is Esterlina A. Intong. And for the Ibabao Day Care Center is no other than Jocelyn H. Sumabong. Accordingly, the DSWD workers are the teachers or mentors of the nursery students age 3-4 years old. Children age 5 years is no longer accepted at nurseries because starting this year the elementary curriculum of government schools include pre-elementary students(kindergarten). Each Day Care Centers have collected monthly dues from the enrolled students to partially support the school maintenance and compensation of the assigned DSWD workers aside from their honorariums. Under the Ibabao Day Care Center, the monthly due is only P75 pesos.

The Agus Barangay Council is composed of one Barangay Captain Hon. Remegio B. Oyao and seven Barangay Councilors namely Hon. Jun-jun A. Oyao, Hon. Nestor A. Apa, Hon. Jimboy A. Igot, Hon. Julian Fuentes, Hon. Magno Rabanes, Hon. Cesario I. Tampus Jr. and Hon. Jebie Arong, one SK Chairman Hon. Johnmae Asis, one Barangay Treasurer Mr. Ronnie Fuentes, and one Barangay Secretary Mr. Venancio Oyao.
